I have several rifles that are scopeless. I will give what each rifle is, intentions, and price limit.
1. Ruger M77 300 WM. This is basically just a hunting rifle, and for the most part a back up since I have others as my go to. Shots would range from 50 to 400 yards. I have in the past taken it to 700, but have no intentions of doing that again. Price range $500 to $1500, preferably under $1000.
2. AR-15 built myself. It is a 1-7 twist, so I will probably run the heavier bullets for more precision, prairie dogs, and coyotes. Ranges on yotes and dogs to 500 and paper further for fun. Price range $1000
3. Rem 700 22-250 - I am intending to rebarrel this to handle bullets up to 85-90 grains. I really want to play around at 1000 yards with this rifle. I have alot of different ideas for this rifle, and some of them involve using the heavier bullets. Coyotes, dogs, hogs, antelope, deer, etc. I am not going to put a price limit on this scope.
4. Ruger 10/22 - This is a takedown model with a timney trigger and a tactical solutions barrel set up for my suppressor and to keep a shorter overall length. Now, I know this seems like the usual scope suggestion for a 22, but lets throw in a twist. There is a place that is about 2 1/2 hours from me that does a shoot every month for 22 LR. The range goes out to 400 yards, so I would like a scope that can handle that. Price range under $1000
I know the questions that normally come. What features? My preferences are FFP with MIL/MIL adjustments. That being said, I am looking for all kinds of ideas and thoughts on these.
And discuss!
