Rifle Scopes : New member with a ?

Quad Cities, you say? I'm Mark and grew up South of the QC in Burlington. 

(I saw Def Leppard open for Blackfoot in Davenport in '81.)       

What type of scope are we talking about, Mark? Brand, model? Have you smacked the objective end of the scope around any? Maybe in the palm of your hand to see if that knocks what may be debris loose?

I've had that happen to me on a US Optics scope once.
