It's all of that; it just happens to be one that is owned by an optics retailer. It would be the same thing if you walked into Lowe's and started posting sales flyers for Home Depot on the lumber racks. Using the very forum that SWFA provides for your free use to promote one of their competitors isn't analogous to a "neutral... open exchange of perspectives, advice, and experience." I believe you when you say you meant no harm, and I'm sure you probably didn't read the rules carefully. You didn't offend anyone and we're glad you're here; it's just that rules are rules, and you agree to abide by them in exchange for use of this forum. Rules aside, it's common courtesy.
